BFF is a fitness coaching tool

BFF provides a fitness coaching service. The Service includes Rosie, an AI fitness trainer designed to help with general fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle planning. The Service is intended for general fitness, wellness, and educational purposes only. The Service is NOT a medical service or substitute for medical care. It is NOT a licensed therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment service. It is NOT a registered dietitian or medical nutrition therapy service. It is NOT a diagnostic, treatment, prevention, or cure tool for any disease or condition. It is NOT a substitute for advice from your physician or any qualified healthcare professional.

02.

What Rosie can and cannot do

Rosie CAN help you plan general fitness routines based on goals you provide, surface meal recommendations from our cookbook based on your preferences, track your workouts, meals, sleep, and other lifestyle inputs, offer general lifestyle guidance about hydration, walking, sleep, and stress, provide accountability, encouragement, and motivation. Rosie CANNOT diagnose any medical or mental health condition, prescribe medication, dosages, or specific supplement protocols, provide medical treatment, therapy, or counseling, recommend stopping or changing prescribed medications, make specific weight-loss or body composition guarantees, replace consultation with your doctor, therapist, or registered dietitian. If you ask Rosie about something outside her lane (medical symptoms, supplement dosages, eating disorder concerns, mental health crisis, pregnancy specifics, injury), she will redirect you to the appropriate qualified professional. She is designed to do this because it is the right call for your safety.

03.

Consult your healthcare provider before starting

Consult your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program if any of the following apply: heart condition or cardiovascular disease, diabetes or another metabolic condition, high blood pressure, joint, back, or musculoskeletal injuries or pain, history of eating disorders, pregnancy, postpartum (under 6 weeks), or trying to conceive, recent surgery, medications that affect heart rate, blood pressure, or blood sugar, any chronic medical condition, age 65 or older, sedentary for an extended period, any symptoms (chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, severe fatigue) during physical activity.

04.

Assumption of risk

Physical exercise carries inherent risks including muscle strain, joint injury, falls, cardiovascular events, and in rare cases serious injury or death. By using the Service, you voluntarily assume all risk associated with physical activity. You are solely responsible for: confirming with your healthcare provider that you are healthy enough to exercise, choosing weights, intensity, and exercises appropriate to your current fitness level, maintaining safe form and setup while using BFF's exercise cues, stopping immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or any concerning symptoms, seeking immediate medical attention when needed, making your own informed decisions about your health.

05.

Nutrition and meals

BFF's recipes are general-purpose meals from our curated cookbook. They are NOT medical nutrition therapy. If you have any of the following, please consult a registered dietitian or your physician before relying on BFF's meal recommendations: diabetes or pre-diabetes, celiac disease, IBD, or other gastrointestinal conditions, food allergies, chronic kidney disease, heart disease or high cholesterol requiring medical dietary management, eating disorder history or active eating disorder, pregnancy or breastfeeding, specific medical dietary requirements (DASH, low-FODMAP, ketogenic for epilepsy, etc.).

06.

Supplements and medications

BFF does NOT recommend specific supplement dosages, brands, or protocols. Any mention of supplements in the Service is general education only. Always consult your doctor before starting any supplement. Tell your doctor about all supplements and medications you are taking. Buy supplements from reputable, third-party-tested sources. Stop any supplement that causes adverse symptoms and consult your doctor. BFF will NEVER recommend you stop, change, or modify any prescribed medication. Talk to your prescribing physician for any medication question.

07.

Pregnancy and postpartum

If you are pregnant, postpartum (under 6 weeks), or trying to conceive, BFF is NOT a substitute for your OB-GYN or midwife. Get your provider's clearance before continuing any exercise program. Share BFF's planned routines with your provider for approval. Modify or stop based on your provider's recommendations. Do not use BFF for prenatal nutritional guidance.

08.

Injuries and rehabilitation

BFF is NOT a physical therapy or rehabilitation service. If you have an injury, recent surgery, or are recovering from a medical procedure, work with your physical therapist or physician on a rehabilitation protocol. BFF can be used alongside their plan only with their explicit clearance.

09.

No HIPAA

BFF is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Health-adjacent information you share with BFF is protected under our Privacy Policy but not under HIPAA. If you require HIPAA-protected communications, please use a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider.

Mental health

BFF is not a mental health service. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, an eating disorder crisis, or any acute mental health emergency, please contact the resources listed at the top of this page IMMEDIATELY.
